Theory Wellness is excited to announce the grand opening of its Trenton, New Jersey location for recreational cannabis sales on July 11 at 11 AM. This highly anticipated event marks a significant milestone for Theory Wellness as it extends its presence in the Garden State. Known for its dedication to affordability, quality, and hospitality, Theory Wellness is ready to bring its award-winning services to Trenton.
Conveniently situated off Route 1 with plenty of parking, Theory Wellness was the first cannabis dispensary to open in Trenton and has already built a strong community presence through its medical sales.
With this expansion to recreational sales, Theory aims to offer customers a wide variety of quality cannabis products at the most affordable prices in the state. By leveraging their purchasing power, Theory plans to provide significant savings to customers through their outlet-based pricing model.
To celebrate the opening, Theory Wellness will donate $10,000 to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) to support their mobile food kitchen. Representatives from TASK will attend a check presentation at 11 AM. There will also be remarks from Brandon Pollock, CEO of Theory Wellness, as well as Mayor Gusciora and Councilwoman Feliciano.
TASK’s mobile meal program, launched in March 2024, currently serves over 800 meals per week at four sites throughout Trenton. Additionally, TASK serves over 10,000 meals six days a week at their soup kitchen in Trenton’s North Ward and at 35 community meal sites across Mercer County, NJ, and lower Bucks County, PA. Theory Wellness will also collect shelf-stable canned goods from customers from Friday to Sunday of the opening weekend. Each donated item will be worth $2 in credit, with customers able to receive up to $10 in credit towards their purchase during the opening weekend.

Theory Wellness Trenton is located at 461 New York Ave. Recreational customers must be 21 years of age or older and provide a valid ID to enter. They are open for recreational sales from 9 AM – 9 PM Sunday through Thursday, and 9 AM – 10 PM Friday and Saturday. Medical-only hours will begin each day at 7 AM.
