Celebrating one of the most iconic characters in the “Star Wars” saga, Carrie Fisher will be honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star on May 4.

On Thursday, Fisher, who passed away in 2016, will be honored with his “Star Wars” co-stars, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill, at a popular tourist destination in Hollywood that honors actors, musicians, and other entertainment industry professionals. All three stars may be seen on the same block of Hollywood Boulevard, 6,800, not far from the theater where the rst lm was shown in 1977.

Throughout six lms, Fisher played Leia Organa, who evolved from a princess into a general who led the forces of good in the ght against the evil regimes that sought to dominate the galaxy. On her mom’s behalf, Billie Lourd will accept the award.

Supporters have been pushing for her to get a star on the Walk of Fame for a long time. The day of the award—May the Fourth—has become a de facto holiday for Star Wars enthusiasts as a nod to a phrase Fisher often used in the movies: “May the Force be with you.”

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will stream the induction ceremony live at 11:30 a.m. Pacic.

Fisher’s star will be number 2,754 on the Walk of Fame. Both Ford and Hamill were honored in recent years; Ford in 2003 and Hamill in 2018.

Nominees for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame must pay $75,000 to install and update the star.
