August 5th marks Exchange Day 2024, a global celebration highlighting the transformative power of international exchange. This day raises awareness of exchange programs that offer participants incredible opportunities to learn, grow, and share life with people from different cultures.
International Exchange Students
In the coming days, ASSE International Student Exchange Programs’ local representatives will celebrate Exchange Day by hosting information sessions and distributing materials to families interested in hosting an exchange student.
With the new school year fast approaching, several ASSE exchange students are still awaiting news of their American host families. ASSE is dedicated to finding each student a welcoming home to live out their “American Dream.”
ASSE exchange students, aged 15 to 18, are selected based on their academics and personalities. Host families can choose from a diverse group of students from various countries, backgrounds, and personal interests. The students come with their own spending money and full insurance coverage.
Whether you’re a young family, retired, a single parent, or empty nesters, hosting one of our students from countries like France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ukraine, Denmark, Thailand, and many others provides a unique opportunity to expand your family globally without traveling.
By opening your home to an international student, you help continue our global mission of fostering peace, kindness, and mutual understanding between the United States and other countries. The students are deeply grateful for the chance to live with your family and experience your community for a school year.
To celebrate Exchange Day by becoming a host family for one of these remarkable students, please contact Saphia Lesch at (800) 736-1760 or visit www.host.asse.com to learn more about exchange opportunities in your area and start the process of welcoming your new son or daughter into your family.
